Royal Prince Wines
Royal Prince is about creating life changing experiences through wine. It’s about playing with fire, laughing and showing up. We build relationships to source and blend impeccable fruit from the most pedigreed sites in California. Vintage after vintage, our goal is to produce Pinot Noir that reflects its terroir.
2014 Royal Prince Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir $39.99*
The Santa Maria Valley in the northern extreme of Santa Barbara County produces some of the most nuanced, textured and refined Pinot Noir in California. The pedigreed sites that we work with here are known for cold, fog-filled mornings and warm, sun-drenched afternoons that lend to the bright cherry and savory characteristics of the fruit.
The 2014 shows balance and richness with aromas of dried cherries, violets and baking spices. Its garnet in color, viscous and supple, and expresses vibrant flavors of pomegranate and black cherry. The tannins are plush, smooth and balanced by vivid acidity.
Westwood Estate is singularly focused on making world-class Burgundian & Rhone varietals from their Annadel Gap Vineyard. They incorporate precision winegrowing and common biodynamic practices to craft the highest quality and authenticity of their estate grown wines. Westwoods small-production wines are truly handcrafted, with less than 3,500 cases produced. The majority of their lots consist of only 3-4 barrels of a select clone or blend.
Westwood Estate Sangiacomo Chardonnay $39.99*
Located in the Sonoma Coast AVA, Roberts Road Vineyard stays blanketed and cooled until midday by the fog of the nearby Pacific Ocean allowing for gentle ripening. Well drained silty gravel soil imparts minerality and a complex richness
\The nose is fresh and inviting showing fresh pineapple, pear and a touch of toasted coconut, Fuji apple, toasted honeyed oats, cucumber, roasted hazelnuts and cashew, orange and lime blossom. The palate is brilliant and exotic, rich and round, with fine acidity and long minerality perfectly matched by a creamy, lush mid palate. Lemon-lime zest, with vanilla bean, hints of pineapple, and dried mango finishing with pie crust and fresh pear.
Westwood Estate Legend Proprietary Red Blend $44.99*
Inspired by the richness and varietal diversity found in Sonoma, the concept behind Legend was to create a wine immediately accessible, delicious in its youth that would continue to age gracefully, delivering complexity and layers to an already seamless palate.
The Rhône varietals boast a bouquet of wild herbs and rich forest berry fruit. Tannat provides an excellent backbone of tannins and superior focus while adding elegant floral aromatics. The fantastic varietals all blend masterfully with the sensation of ripe, opulent fruit creating a perfect harmony of elegance and richness culminating in a legendary wine experience we hope you will enjoy.
Boich Family Cellars
